This is a standalone course in our training package Work Environment for Managers and HSE officers. The course is based on texts, images, and interviews with our work environment expert, as well as knowledge tests.
After the course, you will have knowledge of how systematic work environment management is applied in practice and insights into how a well-functioning system can lead to increased well-being, creativity, and productivity.
You will understand how to implement documented procedures based on the risks present in the workplace, how a work environment policy should align with risks, goals, and action plans, as well as how to assess risks, investigate, follow up, and prevent accidents and ill health.
Most importantly, you will be familiar with the regulation on Systematic Work Environment Management (AFS 2023:1) and the fundamental responsibilities for employers.
Managers, supervisors, safety representatives, work environment coordinators, and anyone interested in work environment management.
All employers are legally required to implement systematic work environment management. But how do we prevent work environment efforts from becoming a burden on the organization and taking up unnecessary administrative time?
This course includes practical exercises, such as reviewing your work environment policy. What should it actually include? Your work environment policy should outline why and how your systematic work environment management will be conducted, when it will be done, and who is responsible. Sometimes it’s you, the managers, or the safety representatives who are responsible. Is that clearly stated? And can it be measured and followed up?
The course provides you with knowledge, tools, and methods to promote health and prevent ill health in the workplace.
