Upon passing the final exam, you will receive a course certificate valid for 15 months. The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) recommends annual refresher training.

Goal

In this course, you will gain general basic competence for working on roadways. It is essential for those participating in assignments procured by organizations such as the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket). The course raises your awareness of the associated risks and highlights the key factors that impact traffic safety.

Target group

The course is sufficient for work performed in locations with limited exposure to passing vehicle traffic. Examples include:

  • in the role of a surveyor, such as for marking out the roadway,
  • during work under bridge construction, particularly before the area is opened to traffic,
  • during the installation or maintenance of infrastructure components, such as guardrails.

  • Factors affecting traffic safety
  • Laws and regulations applicable to roadwork
  • The different roles at a roadwork site and the V3 principle
  • Common road user behaviors
  • The various zones within a roadwork area
  • Required personal protective equipment
