This course is based on SS-EN 50110-1 and the Electrical Safety Instructions. The course is developed by Trainor, which is a privately owned independent company that has worked with education for 20 years. We train 20% of Sweden's all new electricians every year. Trainor develops web courses in electricity, technology and safety. Trainor's self-developed web course is suitable for you who have previously completed a teacher-led course. Note! Some clients may require that you have completed a teacher-led training, check with the client what applies to you. The online course is not approved by Energiföretagen and does not provide a certificate issued by Energiföretagen.

Target

The course targets are to give the required knowledge to be able to plan and execute work such as switches and other operating orders, and be able to apply the Waterways provisions correctly. The overall target is to prevent accidents.

  • To understand the electrical safety provisions regarding Waterways in order that electrical work activities can be executed safely.
  • To understand how the decision tree is organised in Waterways and how the exchange of proofs shall be done to minimise accidents
  • To understand how the electrical safety provisions meets the provisions and regulations of the Swedish National Electrical Safety Board.

Target group

For those who do maintenance work, for those who do work activities in hydropower stations and power distribution installations. For example workers for clean up, instruments, construction who work in control rooms in electrical installations and hydropower plants.

Subjects covered in the course

In order to ensure electrical safety at work Sweden has a very clear framework of laws and provisions. The Electrical Safety provisions (”Elsäkerhetsanvisningar” in Swedish) are supplemental to the law. Waterways is a specific provision by the Swedish hydropower industry focussing on work safety in connection with waterways.

  • The content of the more recent provision of Waterways, the electrical safety provisions of the hydropower industry.
  • The provisions and regulations of the Swedish National Electrical Safety Board, especially the responsibilities of employers and proprietors.
  • About new terminology.
  • About work planning, secure communication.
  • About working methods and operating orders.
    The course ends with a Final Test and the person taking the course can directly after passing this test print out a course certificate.
