Electrical safety work within EBR (Electricity Network Industry Guidelines) has been reviewed and refined over several years to better reflect today’s working environments. ESA is now being updated in connection with a new edition of the European standard for the operation of electrical installations.

Anyone holding an ESA certificate that remains valid after 31 May 2026 must complete an ESA 2026 upgrade course in order for the certificate to remain valid.
