This is a flexible training program, meaning you can complete it at your own pace. You communicate with our instructors via the training portal, phone, and email. Theoretical exams are taken from home on a computer after your assignments have been approved. The training is conducted through our subsidiary, Distansia's training portal.
A preparatory course is included free of charge in your training. This optional course allows you to review mathematics, among other topics, through pre-recorded videos. Please note that we have pre-recorded sections for all parts of the course, such as mathematics, which clearly demonstrate how to solve various tasks.
There is only one mandatory practical day, which is done together in a group once you have completed the theory. The date for this day is determined based on a minimum of 8 participants. The practical day can be held in Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Sundsvall, and will be determined based on the area where the most participants are ready at the same time.

Since an electrician is a regulated profession, you need to apply for authorization from the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority to work as one. Every installation company needs an electrician for compliance, and every electrician needs both education and practical experience in the field.
Additionally, each installation company needs its own control program, which is designed and monitored in collaboration with the electrician. However, it's the responsibility of the management to ensure that the control program is followed.
You apply through the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority's e-service. You need to attach both the certificate of completion you receive after your training in Authorization A or AL and an experience certificate. The requirements for experience vary between the different authorizations and also depend on whether the practical experience was gained before or after July 1, 2017, when the latest Electrical Safety Act was introduced.
