Electrical safety at work is a concern for everyone. Electrical work is risky, and for everyone to feel safe in workplaces with electrical hazards, it is necessary that we master and follow the regulations.
Our training in Electrical Safety at Work is based on SS-EN 50110-1 Maintenance of electrical installations and the handbook Work in the presence of electrical hazards published by the Swedish Work Environment Authority and the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority. The two online courses are tailored to the needs of different industries and describe work situations that may arise in reality, both courses include a section on first aid for electrical injuries.
We can tailor our instructor-led training to suit the unique needs of your company.
Our courses in Electrical safety at work are partly based on the standard Maintenance of electrical installations SS-EN 50110-1. The standard regulates work on or near electrical installations - whether low or high voltage.
When you and your colleagues are familiar with the standard and work according to it, you can, in addition to working safely with electricity, also be confident that you are complying with the Occupational health and safety act and the regulations of the Swedish electrical safety authority.
Maintenance of electrical installations does not only define work directly on installations but also work where there is a risk of electrical injuries. For example, construction work near overhead lines.
Work in the presence of electrical hazards is a publication from the Swedish electrical safety authority and the Swedish work environment authority, and it is one of the cornerstones of our Electrical safety at work training. With the premise that electrical safety is a workplace issue, it clarifies the employer's responsibilities and the responsibilities of the facility owner.
The publication is divided into sections: electrical safety is part of the workplace responsibility, secure electrical installations are a prerequisite for a good work environment, application of standards, handbooks, and industry guidelines, some important conditions for safe work, if something goes wrong – responsibility and accountability, and questions that may be asked during inspections.
