Schneider Electric Sweden Strengthens Safety Culture with Trainor

When Schneider Electric Sweden’s internal trainers retired, the company needed a new, sustainable solution to maintain electrical safety across the organization. They chose Trainor – and five years later, the partnership has become an integral part of their safety culture.

With over 20 offices and around 350 technicians across Sweden, Schneider Electric faced a challenge: ensuring every employee received the right electrical safety training, regardless of location or the type of facility they worked in.

Previously, training was delivered internally, but when the internal trainers retired, the need for a new training partner arose.

“We realized we needed an external partner who could deliver training in a professional and engaging way. We chose Trainor because of their visually strong and audience-focused e-learning,” says Cecilia Edenius, Health & Safety Manager at Schneider Electric Sweden.

Digital, engaging, and relevant

Today, Trainor provides Schneider Electric Sweden with a wide range of electrical safety courses – from low voltage to high voltage. A key factor was the ability to tailor training to the right audience and create content that feels relevant in everyday work.

“It was important for us that the courses really speak to the right audience. A high-voltage course isn’t relevant for everyone, and Trainor understands the importance of differentiating content,” says Cecilia Edenius.

The courses are combined with webinars and on-site training with practical exercises, creating a flexible, efficient, and resource-saving solution.

A Strong Safety Culture and Effective Training

After five years of collaboration, Trainor’s courses are now a natural part of Schneider Electric Sweden’s annual Safety Training Week – a dedicated initiative focused on training and safety.

“Bringing all training together in one specific week makes planning easier and reinforces a clear safety culture. Everyone knows that’s when electrical safety is in focus, and you can feel the engagement,” says Cecilia Edenius.

The concept has not only made training more structured but also freed up time during the rest of the year – a valuable benefit when one person is responsible for planning training nationwide.

From Obligation to Engagement

Cecilia Edenius also sees a clear shift in attitudes toward safety training.

“When people reach out to reschedule a course instead of skipping it, that’s when you know you’ve made progress,” she says.

She emphasizes the importance of creating an emotional connection in training – reminding people why safety truly matters.

“Facts and standards are important, but learning really sticks when you touch people on a human level. Showing consequences in a way that resonates makes a big difference,” she explains, and adds:

“Trainor is a partner that listens. They’ve adapted to our needs and delivered high-quality training. It’s a collaboration that works really well.”
