What does a Distribution Electrician do?

In order for electricity to benefit the customer, it is led from a power plant via the large main grid and on to smaller regional and local electricity grids that supply buildings, streets and parks with electricity. As a distribution electrician, it is within the regional and local networks, so-called distribution networks, that you build, repair and maintain pipes, switchgear and substations.

The work as a distribution electrician is free and varied, but at the same time requires a great deal of knowledge. Working physically outdoors is a natural part of the job. Since the distribution network is located throughout Sweden, it also means variation in the environment you work in. The distribution network is located in cities, along the roads and out in the woods and on the ground.
