Trainor and Åsbro Kursgård – Collaboration for Future Distribution Electricians

Trainor has now initiated a collaboration with Åsbro Kursgård, Sweden's largest educator in electricity production and distribution. Starting in the fall of 2024, all practical elements of Trainor's training for distribution electricians will be conducted in Åsbro.

"We are incredibly pleased with this collaboration. It is an important part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of our training. Additionally, it provides greater opportunities for us to tailor training packages for our customers," says Lena G. Olsson, Business Development Manager at Trainor.

Åsbro Kursgård offers Sweden's largest training area for electrical power, with installations ranging from 0.4 kV to 400 kV, power lines, substations, stations, an extensive cable network, and a complete hydroelectric simulator with associated control equipment. Through this collaboration, Trainor's students specializing in distribution electricians will have access to an impressive 130-hectare training area.

"Being able to offer our students the opportunity to perform all practical exercises in an authentic environment is an invaluable experience for the future. Otherwise, students will study the theoretical parts remotely, as usual," adds Lena G. Olsson.

For Åsbro, the collaboration means they can expand their course portfolio:

"Now we can also offer the distance learning programs that Trainor has in adult education. Additionally, we have the opportunity to offer some of our other courses as eLearning and live broadcasts," says Mikael Carlsén, CEO of Åsbro Kursgård.

Trainor now looks forward to continuing to deliver high-quality electrical safety training together with Åsbro Kursgård.
