Apply for financial support for work environment training

From 1 January 2026, employers in the private sector can once again apply for financial support from Afa Insurance for work environment training. The support is available until 30 June 2027, and our training courses are approved.

The application period opens on 7 January 2026.

New extension of support for work environment training

Financial support from Afa Insurance is aimed at private‑sector employers covered by a collective agreement and TFA insurance. Training initiatives where managers and safety or work environment representatives participate together are given special priority.

Compensation levels at a glance:

Managers attending training on their own are reimbursed 50% of the cost.
Managers attending training together with a representative are reimbursed 70% (manager only).
Advanced training for representatives is reimbursed up to 60%, and joint advanced training is reimbursed up to 80%.

Construction Work Environment Coordinator Bas-P/Bas-U

According to the Swedish Work Enviroment Authority a developer is always responsible to appoint a Construction Work Environment Coordinator to plan the building and facility construction work (Bas-P) as well as carrying out the work (Bas-U).

Who can apply?

The support is aimed at managers with personnel responsibility and delegated work environment duties, as well as work environment or safety representatives. It covers the cost of basic work environment training for managers and advanced training for both managers and representatives.

The training must correspond to at least one full day of instructor‑led training, and the support is applied for after the training has been completed.
